KIVULI DISPENSARY
Kivuli Dispensary was established in 1998, initially to cater exclusively for the medical care of the children.
The dispensary has now been expanded and has excellent facilities that have been extended to Kivuli Centre’s very ample surrounding community. Two nurses and a lab technician are always on duty, while a medical doctor and a dentist visit once a week.
With the help of a support group, the dispensary also reaches out to more than 100 patients infected with HIV/AIDS.
Since 2008, Misericordia di Segrate has assisted in the improvement of the physical facilities and the equipment. In July 2008, the organization helped build a roof for the dispensary’s waiting area to shelter patients awaiting treatment from the hot sun or rain, depending on the weather conditions.
